Merger Anouncement

The YMCA of the Brandywine Valley and the YMCA of the Upper Main Line have united to form  a new regional association, the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. The Y will serve more than 80,000 individuals throughout Chester County and increase opportunities to expand and strengthen Y programs and services, particularly in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Jennersville YMCA facility update: 3/2

The Jennersville Y is open. 

Programs are running as scheduled, however we will be running a modified group exercise schedule.

Group exercise will resume as normal at 12:15. 

Childwatch will open at 8am. 

Preschool is running on time. There will be no half day care. 

Due to the school closings the Y will offer a care day beginning at 9am.

Due to icy roads CASD has been cancelled. We will have a Y Day starting at 9 am at the branch for Coatesville SACC students.

There will be NO HALF-DAY PRESCHOOL TODAY at Brandywine.

-Currently Downingtown and Twin Valley are on 2 hour delay. SACC will begin there at 9 am.

-ELR & Believe and Achieve are cancelled.

Modified Group Ex Schedule is in place: 
10 am Boot Camp & 11 am Ballet Burn

The Oscar Lasko Youth Program Center will be having a Y day today!

The West Chester Area School District just announced that they will be closing today, Monday, March 2nd.  Due to the school district closing, the Kindergarten program at the Oscar Lasko Youth Program Center will be closed today and the Kindergarten care will turn into a Y day that will begin at 9am and will run all day.  Our Y day for our YASA program will also start at 9am and will run all day. Kennett YMCA Weather Update 3/2

The Kennett YMCA is OPEN.

We will be running the following modified group exercise schedule:
Body Pump at 6:00
Sculpt at 8:00
Cycling at 9:00
Yoga at 9:00
Boot Camp at 9:15
Hula Hoop at 10:00
Step at 10:30
Other Group Exercise Classes will resume as normal after noon. 
Small Group Training is cancelled until noon.

Childwatch will open at 8 as normal.

Intro to Preschool, Preschool Kitchen and Preschool Soccer are CANCELLED

Montessorri and School Aged Childcare will follow their inclement weather plan for a school closure.  The Y day will start at 9:00.

The Warm Water Pool will open at 9:00.

Oscar Lasko Youth Program Center - March 2

Lionville Community YMCA Facility Update Monday 3/2/15

The Lionville Community YMCA will open at 5:00 AM with programs running as scheduled.  Due to the Downingtown Area School District 2 hour delay, the AM care for the elementary School Age Care will be held at the YMCA starting at 7:00 AM.

Weather update for Monday March 2nd- The West Chester Y will open on time at 5 am.  Child Watch will open on time.  Programs will run according to schedule. We will run on the following Group Exercise Schedule for the morning:

8 am Bodypump 

9:30 am Zumba 

10:30 am Cycle 45 

11:30 am Pilates 

All group exercise classes from noon on will run according to our regular group exercise schedule

Upper Main Line YMCA - Half-Day CELC (Preschool) One-delay, 3/2/15

Upper Main Line YMCA is scheduled to open on time tomorrow, Monday, March 2, with classes on as scheduled. The Half-Day CELC (Preschool) will be on a one-hour delay. Full-Day CELC opens at its normal time of 7:00 AM.
