State-of-the-Art Wellness Centers
YMCA of the Brandywine Valley facilities feature state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment. Whether you prefer running on a treadmill, cycling beside a friend, reading while on an elliptical trainer, lifting free weights or using strength training equipment, you can do it at the YMCA. Getting Started

New members and those who need a refresher get 3 FREE Getting Started sessions with a YMCA Wellness Coach to outline your wellness goals. Our coaches also teach you how to use the cardio and strength training equipment and introduce you to group exercise and aquatics options. Register at the Member Services Desk.
 
Group Exercise Classes - FREE for Members!
 

Just getting off work and looking for something fun and healthy to do? Come to the Y where members can choose from hundreds of group exercise classes. Our cardio dance will move you. Cycling will drive you. Yoga will soothe you. Water walking will make you light on your feet. Most group exercise classes, including yoga and Pilates, are free with your full membership. Classes run from 5:30 am for early risers, and well into the evening for those who need to burn off steam after a long day. No registration is required for any of our group exercise classes. Personal Training
YMCA personal trainers work with weekend warriors, stay-at-home moms, CEOs, athletes, and other fitness aficionados to get the most out of their lives. Whether you want to prepare for a ski trip, train for an athletic event, or improve your golf or tennis game, YMCA personal training delivers. Register at the Member Services Desk. Wellness Testing & Nutrition Consultations
The YMCA offers wellness testing that gives you a baseline for tracking your progress toward your fitness goals. Learn the truth about good nutrition, how to develop healthy eating habits, and how to create easy to manage meals with the help of a YMCA nutritionist or dietitian. Swimming and Aquatic Programs
Brandywine, Jennersville, Kennett and West Chester Area YMCAs feature year-round indoor pools and outdoor seasonal pools. Download Gymnasium and Pool Schedules. Certified lifeguards staff our pools, and our swim lessons are taught by trained instructors.

Skate Parks
The skate parks at Brandywine and Kennett Area YMCAs are perfect for novice and experienced skaters. Watch our Program Guide for skateboard classes and camps, and call the YMCA for open time at the skate park. Click here to learn more about our skate parks.

Climbing Tower at Kennett Y 
Be a part of the adventure at Kennett Area YMCA's Outdoor Adventure Park and participate in climbing the Rotary Leadership Tower. Participants need to be at least 10 years of age and wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes to participate. All other special equipment and training is provided by experienced YMCA staff.
