We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3
rd - 8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

Girls on the Run of Chester County is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across the United States and Canada.

We're still smiling from the Girls on the Run and STRIDE 5K Challenge! The hot weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the more than 2,600 youth and adult runners who participated in our annual 5K.

This was the first time the run was held in downtown West Chester ... the first time we broke a participation record, making our 5K the largest in Chester County ... and the first time that the founder of Girls on the Run, Molly Barker, attended one of our runs.
