Alice’s Run and Walk is a 5K event through beautiful Hibernia Park in Coatesville. The race is open to families and individuals in the community who love to run and walk and who want to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Foundation and the YMCA. This special day is also the culmination event for the YMCA’s Girls on the Run and Girls on Track programs.

Alice’s Run & Walk is named for former YMCA employee, Jody Giardina’s mother, Alice Gonaver, who passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease on February 14, 2007.

Alice spent her life empowering women and “women to be.” As a teacher, mentor, mother, and grandmother, she inspired those around her to fearlessly set goals for themselves.
