Upper Main Line YMCA to Host 1,500 Campers at Brandy Olympics
WHAT: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s Upper Main Line branch will host close to 1,500 campers from summer camps across the YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s branches for a day of fun, games, competition and celebration.
WHEN: On Wednesday, July 29 beginning at 9:30 am and ending at 2:30 pm. Rain date is Thursday, July 30.
WHO: Approximately 1,500 campers from summer camps across the YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s eight summer camp locations as well as camp counselors and camp directors. The Y’s mascot, Brandy, will be in attendance too.
WHERE: Upper Main Line YMCA, 1416 Berwyn-Paoli Road, Berwyn, PA 19312.
WHY: Campers from each of the eight branches who host summer camp will come together to play, compete, perform and have fun while participating in Brandy Olympics at the expansive Upper Main Line branch which boasts 54 acres. Activities include canoeing, archery, kickball, relay races, obstacle courses, tennis, capture the flag, skits, songs, cheers, dances and more. Each branch’s summer camp will represent a different country and come with camper-designed and created banners, flags and T-shirts. This is a highlight of the summer campers’ experience.
